Sam helps clients turn complex technology, privacy, and IP issues into clear, actionable deal terms.

Sam Hong focuses his practice on technology and IP-related transactions and complex outsourcing, as well as the technology-related aspects of M&A, debt financing transactions, and other corporate matters. He has experience supporting complex M&A transactions of all sizes and in all industries, including involving ancillary arrangements such as transition service agreements and post-merger integration issues. 

Sam has experience with full-scale outsourcing arrangements, patent licensing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements relating to IP and technology. His commercial knowledge is informed by his M&A experience, identifying and mitigating technology and IP risks for both acquirors and sellers.  

Sam is also the firmwide vice-chair of the Technology Transaction Practice and a member of the U.S. Regional Board.
