Nicole advises clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters involving banking, digital assets, payments, and financial technology.
Nicole Lundholm helps banks, fintechs, and emerging technology companies secure key regulatory approvals and authorizations, including state money transmission licenses, virtual currency business activity licenses, and banking charters.
She advises clients on ongoing legal and regulatory obligations, including new product development, state and federal money transmission laws, Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering compliance, and U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions programs, including obtaining guidance from OFAC. She also supports clients’ commercial objectives by structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements, such as payment processor agreements, vendor service contracts, digital asset custody agreements, and terms of service.
Before law school, Nicole was a compliance manager for a leading U.S. defense contractor. In that role, she advised on export controls and sanctions, drafted corporate compliance policies, and negotiated government contracts.
