Mike represents clients in litigation, arbitration, investigations, and compliance matters, drawing on more than 20 years as a litigator, senior in-house counsel, and government lawyer.
Mike Paisner focuses on complex commercial disputes and product liability litigation, as well as other types of high-stakes litigation, arbitration, and compliance matters. His cases often involve significant financial or reputational risk, multijurisdictional proceedings, or other difficult factual and legal challenges. He takes cases to trial when necessary and pursues creative negotiated solutions when they best serve his clients’ objectives.
In a recent matter, Mike and his litigation team secured a complete defense verdict at trial for The Boeing Company in litigation alleging fraud in connection with an airplane transaction. In recognition of this signature trial victory, Mike and his team were honored by The American Lawyer as “Litigators of the Week” and by Law360 as “Legal Lions."
Mike’s client work draws on his government experience and his time as a senior in-house lawyer at Boeing. While at Boeing, he supervised the company’s international disputes, aviation product liability, and government contract litigation dockets, as well as other strategic litigation, regulatory, investigation, and compliance matters. Informed by his time in-house, Mike is committed to responsive client service and to helping clients achieve their legal and business objectives.
Mike is also an experienced appellate lawyer. He has argued cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits.
Prior to his in-house roles, Mike practiced at a leading firm in Washington, D.C., and served as an attorney-adviser for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel.
Mike regularly writes for legal publications on a variety of litigation- and arbitration-related topics.
