Jake represents clients in IP disputes, with a focus on trademark, copyright, and trade secret law in federal courts.
Jake Dini represents clients in the video game, technology, and retail industries. He regularly litigates IP claims in federal courts, including through trial and arbitration, and has experience managing all stages of a case. Jake’s litigation experience extends to general commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and related business disputes.
Jake also advises companies on protecting their IP and maintaining the integrity of their platforms. He designs and implements programmatic enforcement initiatives to identify and address policy violations and other enforcement priorities. Jake also has experience leading trademark and copyright enforcement efforts, including Digital Millennium Copyright Act takedown requests and domain name claims before the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy arbitration panel.
Maintaining an active pro bono practice, Jake has successfully advocated for clients with their asylum and related immigration matters in both state and federal court.

U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington
Arbitration
Represented Bungie in a copyright infringement case involving the distribution of cheat code software for Bungie’s online game Destiny 2 in both arbitration and before a federal jury. The team secured a sweeping victory in both the arbitration and jury trial resulting in an award of more than $4.4 million in damages and fees and a permanent injunction. The arbitration award was affirmed by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Represented large video game studio in development dispute with sub-licensee. Favorably settled.
