Brittany represents employers in a range of employment matters, including wage-and-hour disputes and claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge.
Brittany Sachs is a litigator who represents employers in complex wage-and-hour class-action lawsuits and representative actions brought under the California Private Attorneys General Act. She also defends employers in single-plaintiff cases in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Brittany has experience with all facets of the litigation process, including preparing responsive pleadings, moving to compel arbitration, filing dispositive motions, propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, working with professionals, preparing for trial and participating in bench trial, mediating cases, and negotiating settlements. Brittany has also represented employers in response to charges filed with administrative agencies, such as the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In addition to litigation, Brittany advises and counsels clients on wage-and-hour audits, and drafts, revises, and updates their policies, practices, and procedures. She draws on her litigation experience to help identify potential legal issues and implement strategies to mitigate the risk of litigation. Brittany has also prepared and conducted employer training, including harassment training for employees and training targeted for managers.
