Andrew Chen is a senior practice attorney in the firm's NewLaw practice. He counsels clients on the preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information and oversees and manages document reviews. Andy is adept at using a wide range of review platforms and frequently leverages generative AI tools to create more efficient workflows for his teams and clients. He has worked on a wide range of discovery matters, including trade secret litigation, construction litigation, product liability litigation, IP litigation, insurance coverage disputes, false advertising claims, and government investigations. He has conducted responsiveness, confidentiality, and privilege reviews; compiled privilege logs; performed redactions; designed targeted searches; and administered quality control.
Andy is skilled at analyzing data and deciphering technical subject matter to promote deeper understanding of cases. His facility with technology and data-driven approaches enables him to streamline complex review processes and deliver actionable insights.
He has also helped with deposition and trial preparation and assisted with fee motions and trademark enforcement actions. Additionally, Andy has experience with due diligence and contract review, as well as other projects that require analyzing large data sets.
During law school, Andy performed patent analyses in the life sciences field. He is a current member of the patent bar. Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Andy practiced in the area of medical malpractice.
